New Delhi, 15 th Jan, 2023: Senior BJP leader and former Union Cabinet Minister Shri Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today said here that India, which invented “Numerical Zero” has now become a “Global Hero”.
Addressing the closing ceremony of "Delhi Mudra Utsav 2023", organised by Delhi Coin Society in New Delhi today, Shri Naqvi said that this is a result of dedication of the people and diligence of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Shri Naqvi said that while on one hand, the Modi Government's valiant and visionary decisions like demonetisation have saved the Indian economy amid the global economic crisis, on the other hand it broke the back bone of terror funding. Shri Naqvi said that these constructive, conducive and calculated economic reforms and decisions have proved to be a milestone in ensuring economic, social and strategic security of the country.
Shri Naqvi said that Goods and Service Tax (GST) has been proved significantly successful towards tax reform in the country. Shri Naqvi said that today India is a leading country in terms of digital payments. "Digital India" campaign of the Modi Government has ensured economic transparency. Every single penny of the Government’s welfare schemes is reaching directly to the bank accounts of the needy; it has curbed the “culture of cut, commission, corruption”. Today benefits of welfare programmes is being provided directly to the needy without any hindrance. Kisan Samman Nidhi, fertilizers to farmers, free gas and ration to the poor and other relief works are example of this transparent system developed by the Modi Government.
Shri Naqvi said that Prime Minister Shri Modi has emerged as a "Global Hero" of "Reform, Perform, Transform" with his commitment to "Development with Dignity", and "Development without Discrimination". India is a “case study” for rest of the world that how Shri Modi’s strong will power saved such a populous country from challenges of the Covid pandemic, global economic crisis and menace of terrorism.
Shri Naqvi said that Shri Modi’s farsightedness ensured there was no shortage of essential commodities even during the crisis, on the other hand, every section of the society has been equally benefited from his economic measures. Revolutionary reforms and schemes like Jan Dhan Yojana, Mudra Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, clean drinking water in every house, houses for poor, electricity, banking reforms, highways, ports, airports, new education policy etc are playing a crucial role in taking the country forward on the path of becoming "Self-reliant India". About 100 collectors from different regions of the country participated in this three-day "Delhi Mudra Utsav 2023" and displayed their collection of coins, bank notes, postal stamps etc. Shri Naqvi said that such events provide an opportunity to the people, especially the young generation, to understand our currency heritage.
